Sanjh Restaurant & Bar has appointed Akash Kumar Kushwaha as Manager of Mixology, bringing 15 years of experience across luxury hotels, fine dining establishments and beverage-focused operations in India and the USA. His appointment strengthens the restaurant’s beverage leadership with expertise spanning advanced mixology, beverage programme development, restaurant operations and team management.

In his new role, Kushwaha will oversee the beverage programme at Sanjh Restaurant & Bar, with a focus on cocktail innovation, menu development, service consistency, beverage cost management and team training. He will also contribute to enhancing bar workflows and creating distinctive beverage experiences aligned with the restaurant’s overall dining proposition.

Kushwaha brings experience across multiple facets of food and beverage operations, including multi-venue management, pre-opening projects, beverage programme development, inventory control, vendor relations and team mentoring. His professional journey includes leadership positions with some of the hospitality industry’s established brands.

Before joining Sanjh Restaurant & Bar in Texas, he served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and Restaurant Manager at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa. He also held the position of Restaurants and Beverage Manager at Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Indore, followed by a role as Assistant Restaurant Manager at JW Marriott Kolkata.

His early beverage career includes roles as Mixologist and Bartender at Cocktails & Dreams, New Delhi, where he developed specialised expertise in cocktail preparation, beverage service and bar operations.

With experience spanning luxury hospitality and dedicated mixology environments, Kushwaha is expected to bring a combination of beverage craftsmanship, operational discipline and guest-centric service to his new role. At Sanjh Restaurant & Bar, his focus will be on building a consistent and contemporary beverage experience while strengthening the capabilities of the bar team.
