September 2026, Bangalore: The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore announces the appointment of Dr. Ranjitha Alva J. as Director of Spa, bringing to the role a strong foundation in Ayurveda and holistic wellness, complemented by extensive experience in luxury spa management and international hospitality.

An Ayurvedic Doctor with certifications in Reiki Healing and Basic Yoga, Dr. Ranjitha has built her career at the intersection of traditional wellness and contemporary hospitality. Her professional journey spans India, Dubai and the United States, giving her a broad perspective on the evolving expectations of wellness travellers and the role of personalised care within luxury hospitality.

Beginning her career as an Ayurvedic Consultant, Dr. Ranjitha went on to develop expertise across spa operations, wellness practices and pre-opening projects, including leadership roles at Golden Palms Resort and The Leela Bhartiya City. She most recently served as Spa Director at Four Seasons Bengaluru.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Ranjitha has seen wellness evolve from being an amenity within hospitality to becoming a more considered and personalised part of the guest experience. Her approach is centred on creating meaningful wellness journeys that draw from the principles of traditional healing while being responsive to the needs and expectations of the modern guest.
