Chennai, 15 October 2026 : Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa has appointed Ramkumar Arumugam as Chief Engineer, marking another milestone in his career spanning over 18 years across hospitality, engineering, operations and maintenance.

Ramkumar brings extensive experience across leading hospitality brands, having held engineering roles with Taj Deccan Hyderabad, Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal, Four Points by Sheraton Chennai OMR, Park Plaza Chennai OMR, ITC Fortune Select Palms Chennai OMR and Marriott Whitefield Bangalore.His experience also includes pre-opening and project work with Marriott hotels.

In his new role at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Ramkumar will oversee the property’s engineering operations, with a focus on reliable and efficient operations, preventive maintenance, energy management, cost control and the smooth functioning of hotel facilities. His previous responsibilities have included preventive maintenance planning, energy-cost reduction, budgeting, equipment management and coordination with various hotel departments.

As he takes on this new responsibility, Ramkumar will continue to leverage his technical expertise and leadership experience to support operational excellence, engineering efficiency and reliable services across the property, contributing to a seamless experience for both guests and associates.
