Mumbai, 19^th September 2026: Moxy Mumbai Andheri West has announced the appointment of Akshay Pethkar as its new Loss & Prevention Manager, bringing with him over 12 years of experience across hospitality, aviation and maritime security operations.

In his new role, Akshay will oversee the property’s overall security and safety operations, with a focus on guest and associate safety, emergency preparedness, risk management, fire safety compliance, crisis management and loss prevention. He will also be responsible for strengthening security protocols and ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational SOPs.

Akshay brings with him extensive hospitality experience, having most recently served as Security & Safety Manager at Vivanta, Thane, where he led hotel security and safety operations.

Prior to this, he spent over seven years with President IHCL SeleQtions, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, where he was responsible for hotel security operations, loss prevention, emergency preparedness and VVIP movement coordination. His earlier experience also includes security roles with Costa Cruises and SpiceJet Ltd., giving him exposure to maritime, aviation and hospitality security environments.

Akshay holds a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.

With his extensive experience, operational expertise and strong focus on safety and security, Akshay Pethkar will be a valuable addition to the leadership team at Moxy Mumbai Andheri West.
