Mumbai, Sept 30: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI organized FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) at Madhubhan Resort & Spa in Anand, Gujarat on 28th Sept, 2026.

The training session was inaugurated by Dr V. Pasupathy, and Mr Manohar S Gurung – President, Mr Puneet Saigal – General Manager, Chef Rakesh Prasad – Corporate Director of Culinary and Mr Nimit Goswami – Director of Food and Beverage of Madhubhan Resort & Spa.

The training program, conducted by Dr. V. Pasupathy, Trainer at Parikshan FSS Pvt. Ltd., covered essential topics, including food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and waste management. Forty-three hospitality professionals participated in the program aimed at imparting practical insights on strengthening food safety measures and reinforcing industry best practices.

“Food safety and hygiene are fundamental to delivering safe and responsible hospitality experiences. Continuous training plays an important role in ensuring that our teams remain updated, aware and consistent in following the highest standards of food safety in daily operations. We are fortunate to host this FoSTaC training programme at Madhubhan Resort & Spa with the help and support of HRAWI and FSSAI, led by none other than the renowned authority, Dr. Venkat Pasupathy. Such initiatives not only enhance professional knowledge but also reinforce our collective responsibility towards the health, safety and trust of our guests and society at large,” says Mr. Manohar S. Gurung, President, Madhubhan Resort & Spa.

Building upon this commitment, Mr. Gurung emphasized that food safety is fundamentally an institutional culture that every organization must actively cultivate and nurture to ensure long-term operational excellence and consumer trust.

Mr. Gurung also shared his appreciation for the timeless words of Henry Ford: “Anyone who keeps learning stays young,” highlighting the importance of continuous learning and development in the hospitality industry.

HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 4,108 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program. The programme is designed to promote a culture of food safety and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in daily operations.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 76 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D.
