New Delhi, September 1, 2026: Indian Railways has approved an investment of ₹170 crore to deploy Kavach Version 4.0 across the remaining 712 Route Kilometres (Rkm) of Moradabad Division under Northern Railway.

The project is aimed at strengthening railway safety infrastructure and adding an advanced layer of protection to train operations across the identified sections. The deployment is part of Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to expand the coverage of its indigenous Automatic Train Protection system and modernise railway signalling infrastructure.
