Partnership encourages member restaurants to create meaningful opportunities for persons with disabilities while fostering safe and inclusive workplaces

Bengaluru, July 31st, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to building a more inclusive and future-ready restaurant industry, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Bengaluru Chapter announced a strategic collaboration with Mitti Café to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities across its member restaurants. The announcement was made during the Chapter’s monthly industry meet, which brought together restaurant owners, hospitality leaders and industry stakeholders to discuss workplace inclusion, employee well-being and the evolving needs of the sector.

The collaboration is envisioned as a step towards helping restaurants build more diverse and equitable workplaces by facilitating access to trained talent and encouraging inclusive employment practices. Beyond creating job opportunities, the initiative seeks to encourage greater workplace accessibility, foster a culture of equal opportunity and demonstrate how diversity can strengthen the hospitality workforce.

Adding another important dimension to the evening, the Chapter hosted a knowledge session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, equipping members with practical insights on creating safe, respectful and legally compliant workplaces. The session highlighted the importance of strong workplace policies, employee awareness and leadership accountability in building professional work environments.
