Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City is pleased to announce the appointment of Rowena Rocha as Director of Human Resources. Bringing over 13 years of experience in human resources leadership within the hospitality industry, Rowena joins the property with extensive expertise in talent management, organisational development, employee engagement, workforce planning, leadership development and culture transformation. Throughout her career, she has been recognised for building high-performing teams, fostering inclusive workplace cultures and aligning people strategies with business objectives across Marriott International and Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).

In her role, Rowena will oversee the Human Resources function, with a focus on strengthening and developing talent, advancing employee engagement, fostering a people-centric culture, supporting leadership growth and driving organizational effectiveness while continuing to build an exceptional workplace experience for associates.

Prior to joining Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City, she led the Human Resources department as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Le Méridien Kochi where she was responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, organizational development and employee engagement. Her professional journey includes leadership roles across several Marriott International properties, including, Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, JW Marriott Bengaluru, and Kochi Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport. She also held Human Resources positions with Taj Bengal Kolkata, Vivanta by Taj – President Mumbai, and the Corporate Office of Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), gaining extensive experience across luxury, upscale, and business hospitality environments.

Throughout her career, Rowena has been recognized for her contributions to the hospitality industry with several prestigious accolades, including the Marriott HR APEC Awards for Spirit to Serve Our Communities (2021) and Team Resilience (2020). She successfully completed Marriott International’s Future Forward Talent Programme (2022–23) and played a key role as the HR Trainer for the pre-opening of JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa and the conversion of St. Regis Goa. Her expertise spans talent management, leadership coaching, organisational culture, change management, employee relations, and strategic HR planning.
