Running from July 13 to July 15, the programme has been designed to train both senior leadership and operational teams in applying artificial intelligence to improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery.

Participants are receiving hands-on training in key AI applications, including:
- AI-enabled productivity tools

- Data-driven decision-making
- Organisational AI transformation
The summit also marks the first LBSNAA programme conducted in New Delhi, expanding the academy’s capacity-building initiatives beyond its traditional campus.
Leaders Highlight Responsible AI Adoption
Speaking at the inaugural session, S. Radha Chauhan, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, said artificial intelligence has become an essential capability for organisations rather than an optional technology. She emphasised that successful AI adoption requires organisational transformation, quality data and responsible governance rather than merely learning AI tools.
Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, highlighted AI’s growing role in improving productivity, enhancing institutional capabilities and delivering better public services through smarter decision-making.

Representing LBSNAA, Ganesh Shankar Mishra, Joint Director, described AI as a leadership and governance challenge that extends beyond technology, stressing the importance of building institutional capacity.
Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE, noted that organisations embracing AI today will remain more competitive in the future, while Mugdha Sinha, Managing Director of ITDC, said the initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s vision of equipping India’s workforce with future-ready digital skills under the IndiaAI Mission.
Supporting India’s Digital Governance Vision
The organisers said the programme reinforces their shared commitment to building an AI-ready public sector through continuous learning, responsible technology adoption and leadership development. The initiative contributes to the broader objectives of Digital India, IndiaAI Mission, and Viksit Bharat 2047, helping government institutions modernise governance and improve public service delivery.
Impact on Hospitality, Travel and Tourism
For the hospitality and tourism industry, the summit signals ITDC’s growing focus on digital innovation and AI-driven transformation. As tourism organisations adopt artificial intelligence, hotels, travel companies and destination management agencies can benefit from smarter customer service, faster decision-making, predictive analytics and personalised travel experiences.
AI-enabled governance can also improve tourism planning, policy implementation and destination management by making data more accessible and administrative processes more efficient. In the long term, initiatives such as this are expected to accelerate digital transformation across India’s tourism ecosystem, supporting better visitor experiences, improved operational efficiency and stronger competitiveness for the country’s hospitality industry.
