Mumbai, 1 July 2026: Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport has announced the promotion of Ataullah Shaikh as its Director of Engineering. Previously serving as Head of Engineering, Ataullah undertakes the expanded leadership role following his significant contribution to the hotel’s engineering operations, asset management, and sustainability initiatives.

Bringing over 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ataullah has built an accomplished career across leading hospitality brands, including Novotel Juhu, Sofitel Mumbai, Sofitel Bahrain, Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa Dubai, InterContinental The Lalit Mumbai, Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre, and SILA Facility Management, where he served as Assistant General Manager – Technical Operations.

Since joining Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Ataullah has played a pivotal role in strengthening engineering operations, driving preventive maintenance programmes, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring seamless infrastructure management, along with a new refurbishment project currently happening at the hotel. His leadership and commitment to operational excellence were recognised with the Leader of the Year 2024 award at the hotel.
