Three-City Networking Event Targets Greater Awareness, Trade Engagement and Visitor Arrivals
September 7, 2026: Reinforcing India’s importance as a strategic source market, The Department of Tourism, Culture & Media Government of Ajman, announced an incentive-based programme for travel trade partners during its three-city India networking event across Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. The initiative marks a focused new phase in Ajman’s India strategy, aimed at strengthening travel trade partnerships, stimulating bookings and driving sustained visitor growth to the emirate.
The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture & Media ‘Incentive Programme’ will go live on September 15, 2026, and run until December 1, 2026. Under the programme, eligible travel agents will receive monetary incentive on every passenger booked to Ajman, applicable to bookings ranging from 1 to 49 passengers. The initiative has been designed to encourage the Indian travel trade to actively promote Ajman and create greater momentum for travel to the emirate during the campaign period.

The announcement was a key highlight of the three-city event, which provided Ajman with a direct platform to engage with travel agents, tour operators and other travel trade partners across three important Indian markets. The roadshow focused on strengthening B2B relationships, enhancing destination awareness and showcasing Ajman’s growing portfolio of experiences to the Indian travel trade.

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General, Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman, said, “India has always been an important market for Ajman, and our engagement with the Indian travel trade has been central to building awareness and demand for the destination. The response to our roadshow reaffirmed the strong potential we see in this market. With the introduction of the new incentive scheme, we wanted to create a tangible commercial opportunity for our trade partners while encouraging them to introduce more Indian travellers to Ajman. We believe that stronger trade partnerships, combined with the right incentives and greater destination knowledge, will help us build sustained momentum and significantly increase Indian visitation to Ajman.”
Neeti Sharma, Director, Intrepid Marketing & Communications, said, “The Indian traveller is becoming increasingly curious about destinations that offer a distinctive experience beyond the conventional UAE holiday, and Ajman is exceptionally well placed to meet this evolving demand. Our continued engagement with the travel trade is focused on giving agents the knowledge, confidence and reasons to actively recommend Ajman to their customers. The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media Incentive Program is a timely initiative that will add further momentum to these efforts, particularly during the upcoming travel window. We look forward to working closely with our trade partners to bring Ajman to the consideration set of more Indian travellers and translate growing destination interest into meaningful visitation.”
Ajman’s India market strategy forms part of its broader tourism development ambitions under Ajman Vision 2030, which seeks to strengthen the emirate’s position as an accessible and well-rounded destination while ensuring tourism, culture and heritage contribute to quality of life and economic development.
Over the coming years, Ajman will continue to broaden its experiences across leisure, nature, family tourism, hospitality and business events, while deepening partnerships with international travel trade and expanding engagement across priority source markets.
The strategy is designed to build a more resilient tourism ecosystem, diversify demand and create sustained growth by combining destination development with stronger international trade relationships.
The launch of the incentive programme represents a direct extension of this strategy in India bringing together targeted trade incentives, stronger B2B engagement and a compelling destination proposition to encourage more Indian travellers to discover Ajman.
The Department of Tourism, Culture & Media will continue to work closely with its Indian travel trade partners to strengthen destination knowledge, expand Ajman’s presence across travel itineraries and build sustained demand for the emirate.
