Government Rolls Out AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 to Strengthen Health Screening at Indian Airports

New Delhi, June 25, 2026: The Ministry of Civil Aviation, in collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), has launched AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, an upgraded digital Passenger Health Self-Declaration Portal aimed at strengthening public health surveillance at India’s international airports amid the ongoing Ebola outbreak.

The enhanced platform has been introduced following the World Health Organization’s declaration of the Ebola (Bundibugyo virus disease) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on May 17, 2026.

Developed jointly with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the portal enables international arriving passengers to submit a mandatory online Health Self-Declaration before immigration clearance. The declaration includes passengers’ 21-day travel history, exposure history and any related symptoms.

AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 allows real-time sharing of passenger information with Airport Health Officers, the Bureau of Immigration, the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) and State Surveillance Officers, enabling quicker identification and referral of potentially at-risk travellers while maintaining a seamless and contactless arrival experience.

Passengers can complete the Self-Declaration Form (SDF) up to 24 hours before arrival in India, preferably during web check-in before boarding. Upon arrival, travellers only need to present the downloaded SDF at the International Travel Health Desk or Immigration counter, eliminating the need for physical paperwork.

The Ministry has advised all international travellers to complete the declaration accurately and in advance to facilitate faster airport processing and strengthen public health preparedness.
