The appointment of Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves follows the recent appointment of former Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. Scott Morrison, as Global Strategic Advisor, further strengthening BLS International’s Global Advisory Board.

A renowned statesman and technology advocate, Mr. Ilves served as President of Estonia from 2006 to 2016 across two terms, following a distinguished career spanning diplomacy, government, international institutions and technology policy. He is widely recognized for championing Estonia’s advanced digital development and e-governance, turning his country into one of the world’s most advanced digital societies during his term in office. His longstanding engagement with e-government, cybersecurity and digital transformation aligns closely with BLS International’s focus on enabling more accessible, secure and efficient citizen services.

With over two decades of experience, BLS International has built a strong global position in visa, consular and citizen services, with operations spanning more than 100 countries and serving 46 client governments. Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves’ deep understanding of digital transformation and e-governance, along with his recognition of India’s Digital India journey, brings a valuable perspective to the company’s next phase of growth. BLS International has reported a strong performance for FY26, with consolidated revenue of INR 2,998 crore, registering a 36.7% year-on-year growth, while net profit stood at INR 724 crore, up 34.1% year-on-year. The strong performance reflects the strength of BLS International’s global operations and technology-led service model, as the company continues to expand its reach and deliver secure, transparent and citizen-centric services worldwide.
