Spice Route Restaurant & Catering has announced the appointment of Amit Prakash as its new Business Operations Specialist, bringing extensive international hospitality and operational expertise to the restaurant’s growing leadership team.
With nearly 18 years of experience across Canada, New Zealand, and India, Amit Prakash has built a strong reputation in restaurant operations, culinary management, guest relations, and team leadership. His appointment highlights Spice Route Restaurant & Catering’s commitment to strengthening operational excellence while continuing to deliver authentic culinary experiences and premium hospitality services in New Jersey.
Prior to joining Spice Route Restaurant & Catering, Amit Prakash served as Restaurant Manager at Khazana Indian Restaurant, where he played a key role in improving operational systems, enhancing guest satisfaction, and maintaining high service standards. His leadership contributed significantly to the restaurant’s day-to-day efficiency and customer-focused culture.
Throughout his hospitality journey, Amit has worked with several renowned international brands including Punjab Grill Restaurant, WE Restaurant & Bar, Columbus Coffee, Cafe Espressoholic, Chandnee Contemporary Indian Cuisine Restaurant, and the prestigious The Oberoi. Over the years, he has developed strong expertise in Modern Indian cuisine, restaurant administration, food quality systems, staff training, and multi-cuisine operations management.
During his tenure at Punjab Grill Restaurant as Senior Sous Chef, Amit collaborated with the Executive Chef to create innovative fusion dishes inspired by North Indian cuisine. He also supervised a large kitchen brigade of more than 40 team members while ensuring strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
As Executive Chef at WE Restaurant & Bar, he successfully expanded the restaurant’s offerings by introducing Indian, Chinese, Japanese, and Middle Eastern cuisine concepts while overseeing kitchen operations and operational compliance.
Amit also gained valuable international leadership exposure with Columbus Coffee in New Zealand, where he served as Head Chef & Café Manager, handling operations management, inventory systems, SOP implementation, and employee development programs.
In his new position, Amit Prakash will oversee business operations, process optimization, vendor coordination, customer service standards, staff supervision, and strategic growth initiatives aimed at further strengthening Spice Route Restaurant & Catering’s position in New Jersey’s competitive hospitality market.
