CHENNAI, Tamil Nadu (August 19, 2026) – Park Hyatt Chennai is pleased to announce the appointment of Kanika Mehra as its new Director of Human Resources. Bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in hospitality human resources, Kanika joins the leadership team with a proven track record of cultivating high-performing teams, strengthening organizational culture and driving strategic people initiatives across Hyatt hotels in India.

In her new role, Kanika will lead the hotel’s Human Resources function, focusing on talent acquisition and development, colleague engagement, learning and development, succession planning, and fostering a workplace culture that reflects Hyatt’s purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Her appointment underscores Park Hyatt Chennai’s continued commitment to nurturing exceptional talent and creating an empowering environment where colleagues can thrive while delivering memorable guest experiences.

Kanika’s hospitality journey with Hyatt spans over a decade, during which she has successfully held leadership positions across several renowned Hyatt properties. Prior to joining Park Hyatt Chennai, she served as Director of Human Resources at Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli. She has also contributed significantly to the success of Hyatt Raipur, Hyatt Pune, Hyatt Place Hampi, and began her Hyatt career as a Human Resources Officer at Hyatt Regency Kolkata, where her dedication and leadership earned her a promotion to Assistant Manager – Human Resources.

Throughout her career, Kanika has been instrumental in implementing people-first initiatives, driving employee engagement programs, strengthening talent management practices, and creating inclusive workplace cultures that encourage collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth. Her strategic approach to human resources has consistently supported operational excellence while enhancing colleague satisfaction and organizational performance.
