Le Méridien Gurgaon has announced the appointment of Chef Ajay Chauhan as its new Executive Sous Chef, further strengthening its culinary leadership with a professional who brings extensive luxury hospitality experience across globally renowned hotel brands.
Chef Ajay Chauhan has built an impressive culinary career with internationally acclaimed hospitality groups including Marriott International, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Accor Group, and ITC Hotels. Throughout his journey, he has contributed to several iconic luxury properties across India and overseas.
Prior to joining Le Méridien Gurgaon, Chef Chauhan served as Banquet Senior Chef de Cuisine at JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata under the prestigious JW Marriott brand. He also gained international exposure while working as an Indian Expat Chef at Shangri-La Colombo in Sri Lanka.
His distinguished hospitality portfolio includes experience with premium luxury properties such as Shangri-La Bengaluru, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, ITC WelcomHotel Dwarka and the iconic ITC Maurya.
Chef Chauhan is widely recognized for his expertise in banquet operations, culinary innovation, luxury dining experiences, and kitchen leadership. Over the years, he has demonstrated excellence in managing food production, mentoring culinary teams, maintaining international hygiene standards, and ensuring consistency in premium hospitality operations.
In his role as Executive Sous Chef at Le Méridien Gurgaon, he will oversee culinary operations, banquet production, menu development, kitchen administration, employee training, and quality assurance while continuing to elevate guest dining experiences.
