CHANDIGARH, India (30th July 2026) Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh today announced key promotions and new appointments across departments, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to nurturing talent, strengthening operational leadership, and delivering experiences that reflect the vibrant spirit of Chandigarh. These leadership updates underscore Hyatt’s focus on creating meaningful growth opportunities for colleagues while further enhancing operational excellence across the hotel.
The leadership updates include the promotion of Dipak Jhunjhunwala to Director – Food & Beverage, Manpreet Kaur to Assistant Director – Human Resources, Tushar Agarwal to Director of Finance, Surya Dev to Front Office Manager, and Akshay Vithoba Damaji to Cluster Revenue Manager – Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh and Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu. The hotel has also appointed Honey Singla as Chief Engineer and Pritam Raj as Housekeeping Manager.
PROMOTIONS

Dipak Jhunjhunwala, in his new role as Director – Food & Beverage, will continue to lead the hotel’s culinary and beverage strategy across its dining venues. With strong experience in restaurant operations, guest engagement, cost control, team development, and outlet performance, Dipak has played an important role in strengthening the hotel’s F&B offerings and shaping engaging dining experiences for both travellers and Chandigarh’s local community.

Manpreet Kaur, promoted to Assistant Director – Human Resources, will continue to drive the hotel’s people agenda, with a focus on colleague engagement, talent development, culture-building, and operational HR excellence. Her consistent contribution to strengthening colleague experience and supporting high-performing teams has earned her this elevation.

Tushar Agarwal, now Director of Finance, will oversee the hotel’s finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and business support. A Chartered Accountant with strong hospitality finance experience, Tushar has contributed to disciplined financial processes and effective cross-functional support at the hotel.

Surya Dev, promoted to Front Office Manager, will lead front office operations with a focus on seamless arrivals, departures, and stay experiences. His guest-first approach, operational understanding, and commitment to service delivery have supported the hotel’s front-of-house performance.

Akshay Vithoba Damaji, in his expanded role as Cluster Revenue Manager, will oversee revenue operations for Hyatt Centric Sector-17 Chandigarh and Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu. Since joining the hotel, Akshay has demonstrated strong analytical acumen, strategic thinking, and a clear understanding of market dynamics, supporting the hotel’s revenue strategy and commercial performance.
NEW APPOINTMENTS

Honey Singla joins Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh as Chief Engineer, bringing more than 13 years of experience across hospitality and building management systems. He began his career with Honeywell Automation Systems in Gurgaon before moving into hotel engineering with ITC Hotels, Gurgaon, and later The Oberoi Group in Agra. He also held engineering leadership roles with IHG Group at Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport, where he progressed from Assistant Manager – Engineering to Engineering Manager. Most recently, he was associated with Accor Group at ibis Gurgaon as Chief Engineer, leading engineering operations with a focus on sustainability, cost optimisation, and seamless facility performance. At Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh, Honey will lead engineering operations, safety, preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and sustainable facility practices.

Pritam Raj has been appointed Housekeeping Manager at Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh, bringing more than eight years of experience across well regarded hospitality brands. He began his career with The Oberoi Group at Trident Bhubaneswar in 2017 before moving to the luxury hospitality segment with Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad. He further progressed with Radisson Gwalior, where he earned an elevation in his role. Pritam joined Hyatt in 2023 as Assistant Manager – Housekeeping at Park Hyatt Hyderabad and was most recently associated with Hyatt Place Hampi, where he led the department as Department Head. In his new role, he will oversee housekeeping operations, room readiness, hygiene standards, team performance, and guest comfort, supporting the hotel’s commitment to quality and thoughtful service
