Mumbai, July 10: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI organized FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) at The Grand Bhagwati in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 8th July, 2026. Twenty-one hospitality professionals from the region participated in the training program conducted by Mr Praveen Andrews. It covered essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management and imparted practical insights on strengthening food safety measures and reinforcing industry best practices.

HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,891 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program. The programme is designed to promote a culture of food safety and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in daily operations.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is a 76 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
