Singapore, 27 October 2026 – Digital travel platform Agoda has achieved its fifth-year Eco Deals donation target of US$1.5 million ahead of schedule, before the launch of the program’s 2027 edition. Since Eco Deals launched in 2022, the program has raised US$4.39 million for conservation efforts, with more than 10,000 accommodation partners participating across 11 Asian markets.
Eco Deals gives travelers access to discounted stays at participating properties, while Agoda contributes US$1 to WWF, the global conservation organization, for each completed program booking.
Supporting conservation across Asia
Through Eco Deals, Agoda has supported WWF-led conservation efforts across more than 25,000 km² of land and seascapes across Asia. These efforts have contributed to wildlife monitoring efforts documenting more than 600 species, including the identification of 118 previously unrecorded whale shark individuals in the Philippines, and rare tiger-cub sightings in Malaysia and Thailand. The partnership has also contributed to protecting more than 45 threatened species and their habitats, including fewer than 90 Javan rhinoceroses, the species’ only remaining population, in Ujung Kulon National Park, and Malayan tigers in the Belum-Temengor Forest Complex and surrounding areas, with fewer than 150 remaining in Malaysia. It has also supported the upskilling and empowerment of more than 7,400 people, including rangers, citizen scientists, tourism stakeholders, and community members.
The latest milestones come as Agoda was recognized with WWF-Singapore’s Biodiversity Leadership Award on 26 October 2026 for its contributions in wildlife conservation and habitat protection, and commitment to strengthen responsible tourism initiatives. At WWF-Singapore’s 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, presented the Biodiversity Leadership Award to Agoda, with Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President, Supply at Agoda, accepting the award on the company’s behalf.
“One lesson from Eco Deals is that sustainability-related initiatives can truly work when businesses build on what they already do well. For Agoda, that means using the scale of our platform and accommodation partner network to make participation in conservation practical and transparent for travelers and hotels, while WWF brings the conservation expertise to guide that support towards priorities across Asia. The Biodiversity Leadership Award recognizes what sustained collaboration can achieve and reinforces our commitment to keep building this partnership through 2030.”
Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President, Supply at Agoda
“As WWF-Singapore marks its 20th anniversary, WWF’s Living Planet Report 2026 reminds us that there is reason for hope.
Conservation works and nature can recover when we act together. Urgent and meaningful corporate action is now more important than ever and long-term partnerships like ours with Agoda demonstrate how we can turn hope into action, through channeling vital funding to protect wildlife and critical habitats across Asia. We look forward to building on this shared commitment and making an even greater difference in the years ahead.”Chew Sutat, Chief Executive Officer, WWF-Singapore
Extending Eco Deals’ impact through sustainable tourism
Agoda’s work with WWF-Singapore has also expanded through the Sustainable Tourism Impact Fund (STIF), launched in collaboration with the UnTours Foundation to provide affordable, flexible
financing to small and medium-sized tourism enterprises. In less than two years, the Fund has deployed US$125,000 across its investee portfolio. In 2025, investee businesses collectively
reported more than US$5.5 million in revenue, served over 13,000 travelers and supported more than 200 jobs. The Fund extends the impact of Eco Deals by supporting tourism enterprises
working across environmental conservation, sustainable tourism and local economic development.
In January 2026, Agoda and WWF signed a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding, extending their partnership to advance conservation efforts, raise traveler awareness and
encourage greater industry participation until 2030. Eco Deals has also been recognized by the ASEAN Secretariat as a model public-private partnership for sustainable tourism development
and profiled by the ASEAN Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism Development Committee.
Agoda will continue to engage accommodation partners and travelers through Eco Deals as part of its long-term support for conservation efforts across Asia. For more information, visit
