New Delhi: The Institute of Bakery and Culinary Arts (IBCA), has announced the successful completion of the Pilot Batch at the IBCA in collaboration with the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH), with 25 students successfully receiving certification.

The pilot batch marks an important milestone for the institute’s collaboration with CTH, aimed at offering globally aligned culinary and hospitality education in India through international curriculum standards and industry-focused training.

According to the institute, the programme offers British certifications regulated by OFQUAL, the UK Government’s qualifications regulator. IBCA stated that it is currently the only institute in the segment in India offering OFQUAL British certification in culinary and bakery education.

Dr Chef Balendra Singh, Director IBCA said said, “The successful completion of the Pilot Batch reflects the growing interest among students in globally recognised culinary and hospitality education. Through our association with CTH, we aim to provide students with industry-oriented training and internationally benchmarked genuine CTH Gold qualifications.”

The programme has been designed to combine practical learning, industry exposure, and internationally recognised qualifications to prepare students for opportunities in the hospitality and culinary sectors. Students are also introduced to pathways related to internships, higher education credits, and international hospitality standards as part of the curriculum.

The successful completion of the Pilot Batch marks the beginning of a larger vision for IBCA as it continues to expand its academic offerings and strengthen its reputation as a premium institute for culinary and bakery education in India.
