Mumbai, July 15: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI organized FSSAI’s latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) at Hotel Manoshanti in Goa on 14th July, 2026. Covering essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management, the training program conducted by Mr Praveen Andrews – Trainer, Parikshan FSS Pvt Ltd. Thirty hospitality professionals participated in the program aimed at imparting practical insights on strengthening food safety measures and reinforcing industry best practices. The training session was inaugurated by Mr Praveen Andrews and Ms Trupti Pawar – Secretary General, HRAWI.

HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,921 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program. The programme is designed to promote a culture of food safety and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in daily operations.

Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hospitality Industry. The association is part of the national body of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D.
