Shyam Nair brings a wealth of experience to his new position, boasting a distinguished 20-year career with the Indian Air Force, followed by 16 years in the hospitality industry. He holds an MBA in HR and Operations, and his expertise in leadership and team management has been honed through various roles in renowned organizations, including significant experience as Director of Loss Prevention at leading brands.

During his tenure at Kochi Marriott, Shyam has excelled as the Multi Property Director of Loss Prevention, successfully transitioning into the human resources domain where he has utilized his extensive knowledge to enhance recruitment, strategic human resource management, training, and administrative functions.

In addition to his HR responsibilities, Shyam has been a strong advocate for sustainability initiatives within the properties. He has spearheaded several green practices, including waste reduction programs and community engagement initiatives focused on environmental awareness. His commitment to sustainability not only aligns with Marriott’s global goals but also enhances the organization’s reputation in the community.

In his new role, Shyam will provide strategic leadership and guidance in areas such as recruitment, compensation management, human resources management, training and development, staff relations, employee retention, and more.
